Consulmet has embraced the industry trend towards outsourcing the operational aspects of minerals processing and can provide a complete operations solution.
Consulmet is able to guarantee continuity of production, has the flexibility to manage exceptional conditions and is able to remain focused on the specifics of the operation under its control to ensure that it achieves the financial and quality goals of the contract. All operating contracts are supported by Consulmet’s engineering, procurement and logistics teams, and have full access to our in-house fabrication facility.
Contract operations through Consulmet can significantly reduce costs for facilities, personnel and ongoing operational costs.
Contracts can be negotiated according to specific project requirements, and Consulmet offers two standard forms of operating and maintenance contracts, namely Fixed Fee or Cost Plus.
Following the successful completion of the design and supply of a complete diamond treatment and recovery plant for a Zimbabwean client, Consulmet proceeded to operate and maintain the mine and process plant. The mine was rated at 200 tph, and the process plant included the 140 tph ROM feed preparation circuit, 50 tph DMS module and a final recovery module incorporating four double-pass X-ray machines. Additionally the 16 km pipeline and pump stations, security fencing of the entire concession and a tailings storage facility were both installed and operated by Consulmet, overseeing 200 personnel.
