We believe that every employee, whether on our construction sites, in our fabrication shops or in our offices, has the right to a healthy and safe work environment. We have developed and implemented an industry-leading programme that puts health and safety at the core of all that we do.
Consulmet’s engineers and project managers are trained to design in health and safety from the start of each of our projects.
We have worked successfully with clients and other organisations to minimize all types of health and safety incidents.
We provide a suite of specialist mine safety services to assist our clients in complying with statutory safety regulations. We have particular expertise in emergency response planning for underground coal mines.

In recognition of the overriding emphasis that Consulmet places on safety, we received an award for outstanding safety achievement from Rio Tinto in 2010 for 50,000 Incident Free Hours during the Murowa Project, which was executed on budget and on schedule.
