Reagents & Dosing Systems

Consulmet is recognized as a specialist supplier of flocculant, coagulant and chemical dosing systems. We supply our dosing systems directly to major mining companies and leading EPCM contractors. We have supplied plants to dose mining reagents such as depressants, flocculants, hydrated gypsum, guar, lime, sodium hydroxide and acids.

Our dosing systems are divided into three ranges – CMET, Pinnacle and Chemtainer Units

CMET Dosing Plants

This range of automated dosing systems comprises of the following:

  • Reagent feed hopper with automatic screw feeder assembly
  • Baffled conditioning tank with mechanical agitation
  • Hydration tank for final conditioning
  • PLC/SCADA control
  • Dosing of up to 5m3/h

 

Dosing rates are as follows:

  • CMET250 (230 to 575 litres/hour dosage rate)
  • CMET500 (535 to 1,335 litres/hour dosage rate)
  • CMET1000 (1,295 to 3,240 litres/hour dosage rate)
  • CMET2000 (3,150 to 5,580 litres/hour dosage rate)

 

Pinnacle Dosing Plants

Our Pinnacle range is capable of doing from 5 to 250m³/h. The design utilises three tanks in a triangular footprint. The three tanks have identical capacities and common mechanical characteristics to act as mixing, hydration and dosing tanks as required by the sequencing control
strategy.

Each Consulmet Pinnacle Plant comprises of:

  • Three equal volume, baffled tanks with mechanical agitation with optional trickle-fed water header tank
  • A stainless-steel water curtain flocculant delivery system including a hopper, vibrating feeder and water curtain hydrator for initial reagent hydration contact
  • Dosing manifold for multiple pump-mounting bases
  • Electrical control panel with integral PLC sequencing control and cable racking
  • All required valves, flanges and internal connecting piping
  • Walkway with hand railing and stairway.

 

Chemtainer Units

Our Chemtainer Units, based on standard IBC containers, are ideal for specialist or small dosing rate applications.
