First established in 1993 as a reagent plant supplier, in 2004 Consulmet was transformed into a process engineering and project house, largely off the back of the African diamond market. The company was, in fact, one of the only companies building diamond plants throughout a recession which severely knocked the precious stones market, writes Laura Cornish.
