Consulmet’s Experience in Mineral Mining
Consulmet (Pty) Ltd has designed, supplied and installed modular mineral processing plants for mining companies across the globe. Our team possess a high level of experience in the fields of gold recovery, coal processing, iron ore beneficiation and diamond processing, Below is a list of projects that we have undertaken:
ANGOLA
Escom – Luo – Alluvial
Design and supply of a complete 220tph alluvial diamond treatment and recovery plant complete with front-end, dense media separation, and recovery modules. The project was done on a full turnkey basis.
Escom – Luo – Tuft
Design, supply and installation of a 220tph weathered kimberlite diamond treatment and recovery plant complete with primary crushing, scrubbing, secondary crushing, hydro-cleaning, dense media separation, power generation, water supply system, slimes disposal and final recovery module. The project was done on a full turnkey basis.
Escom (Grupo Espirito dos Santos)
Design of numerous plant upgrades, as well as procurement and supply of operating spares and major laboratory equipment as an ongoing initiative to effectively reduce operating costs through management the procurement on behalf of the mine.
BHP Billiton
Design and supply of three 30tph mobile diamond sampling plants, each incorporating a 10tph dense media separation unit. These Production Ready units are standard Consulmet plants on custom built trailers.
Transhex, Luarica Mine
Design and supply of a 200tph front-end plant Transhex at the Luarica Mine as part of their expansion process. The plant incorporated a direct tipping bin, primary scalping with VGF, scrubbing, screening and conveyor systems.
AUSTRALIA
Territory Iron
Design and supply of a 130tph iron ore beneficiation plant to process scalp fines stock pile. The plant comprised of a 50tph DMS module, a 35tph spiral separation module, front end screening and product handling, and a containerised MCC/control room.

Design and supply of a final x-ray recovery module and sort house

Anglo Coal
Lump sum turnkey design and supply of a 200tph coal processing plant
IUS (International Underwater Sampling Limited)
Design of a marine sampling plant, including a 2400m³ per hour front-end; 20tph dense media separation and final recovery modules.
Namakwa Diamonds
Design, supply and installation of a complete de-grit module to remove all the sand from the system by using de-sanding cyclones and screens
ASA Metals – Sinosteel
Design and supply of a 100tph chromite spiral separation plant
Diacor cc
Design and supply of a complete diamond treatment and recovery plant (including re-crush circuits) for alluvial and kimberlite ores. The project included complete transportation, erection and commissioning of the plant
Prismatica
Design and supply of a 200tph front end, 20tph DMS and final recovery plant for the West Coast area. The requirements necessitated a special design to handle the huge sand quantities. The project was undertaken on a full turnkey basis
Lace Diamond Mines
Design and supply of a 220tph kimberlite dump re-treatment plant with scrubbing, screening, dense media separation, a re-crush circuit, a water recovery circuit and a final grease recovery module. The project was done on a full turnkey basis.
Sonop Diamond Mining (Pty) Limited
Design and supply of two 150tph DMS modules, complete with ferrosilicon make-up and handling systems, as well as a containerised MCC to treat gravels in the Kimberley area
BPB Gypsum
Design and supply of a gypsum pilot modular processing plant for the Wildebeestkuil deposit.
DRA – Two Rivers Platinum Mine
The supply of a Depressant Make-up System and CMET 1000 Flocculator at the Two Rivers Platinum Mine.
TANZANIA
Matinje
Design and supply of a 15tph containerised modular gold processing plant for the National Development Corporation of Tanzania – Matinje Gold Mine. This modular plant was transported to site, erected and commissioned.
ZAMBIA
Gemfields Holdings Zambia Limited
Design and supply of a 20tph emerald treatment and recovery plant, with primary crushing, screening and final sorting. The project was undertaken on a turnkey basis.
ZIMBABWE
Zimbabwe
Design and supply of a complete diamond treatment and recovery plant with a 140tph ROM feed preparation circuit, 50tph DMS, and a final recovery module incorporating four double-pass x-ray machines. Additionally, 16km of pipeline and pump stations, security fencing of the entire concession and a slimes dam is also being installed.
Rio Tinto-Murowa Diamonds
Design, supply and installation of a 200tph crushing and screening plant as an upgrade to the existing Murowa Diamond Mine. The plant consists of primary -, secondary- and tertiary crushing, feeding into the existing diamond treatment plant.
Rio Tinto–Murowa Diamonds
Design, supply and installation of a new scrubbing and screening module, plus a slimes disposal system upgrade at Murowa Diamond Mine. This also included the design and supply of a water reagent system and fresh water supply upgrade
